“I’m not a politician. I’m a Plymouth resident who cares deeply about this community and wants to do my part to make it better.”
— Wendy Bottomley

Meet Wendy

A neighbor, not a politician.

Wendy Bottomley was appointed to the Plymouth City Council in August 2025. She believes the council works best as a team. No one member makes decisions alone or takes credit for the good work that happens in our city.

She also serves as a Commissioner on the Amador County Transportation Commission. Her background in corporate finance gives her the experience to read a budget, plan for the long term and manage public money carefully.

Why I’m Running

In Wendy’s words

“I joined the council because I wanted to bring positive, helpful and common-sense decision making to local government.

The issues most important to Plymouth are the same issues I hear about from residents: transparent government, responsible spending of taxpayer dollars, and making decisions that benefit the community as a whole. As we continue to grow, we need to balance new opportunities with preserving the character, safety and quality of life that residents value.

Most importantly, I will continue working with fellow council members, city staff and residents to find practical solutions that benefit Plymouth.

I’d be honored to keep serving you.”
